Food bank Tuesday and Friday
The Loft Wednesday and Friday nights
Hollyford is a church in East Belfast, in the old red-brick mission hall on Woodstock Road. On Sunday we worship. The rest of the week the hall is a food bank, a youth club, a toddler group and a warm room, and the door is open six days out of seven.

Sunday at eleven. Wear what you like.
The doors open at half ten and the kettle is already on. We start at eleven and finish about an hour later, and most of us stay for tea.
What happens in the hour?
Some songs, a talk from the Bible and some prayers. Sit anywhere and join in as much or as little as you like. Nobody will ask you to stand up and say who you are.
What about the children?
Sunday Club, for ages 3 to 11, goes out after the first song and comes back in for the end. Toddlers stay in the hall with you, and there's a corner with toys.
Is there tea after?
Always, with traybakes. On the first Sunday of the month we stay for soup and wheaten bread as well.
Can I get in easily?
Yes. The side door is step-free, there's a hearing loop, and there's an accessible toilet.
Do I have to believe anything?
No. Come and see, and ask whatever you like. You don't have to believe anything to help in the week, either.

No voucher. No forms. Just come in.
The food bank
Tuesday 10am–1pm Friday 2pm–5pm
Come in by the side door, sit down and have a cup of tea. Then one of us will pack a parcel with you: three days of food for everyone in your house, with toiletries, nappies and pet food when we have them.
3,100 parcels went out of this hall last year. Gerry Lavery, a retired bus driver, has run the food bank since it opened in 2013.

A pool table, table tennis, a games console, football in the main hall and a tuck shop. Toast and hot chocolate are free.
Chloe Patterson, our youth worker, runs it with a team of trained leaders, every one of them checked. We never post the young people's faces online, which is why you won't see any here.
“My son has been going to the Loft since he was eleven. Friday is the one night I know exactly where he is.”
